Lisa Carrington
Lisa Carrington is a famous flatwater canoer who has won the women's K-1 200 metres at the 2012 summer Olympics. She has studied at Whakatane High School and has been to Massey Student University.
Lisa was a lovable child, she has worked hard to achieve her goals and making sure others are happy. Her parents are Glynis Carrington and Pat Carrington, they have encouraged her through her life and been supportive to what she has been through. Her nationality is New Zealand. She was born in Tauranga June 23, 1989, and she is 27 years old, she was also raised at Ohope beach in Whakatane in the eastern bay of plenty. She is a caring person.
She has become famous for winning the gold medal in a flatwater canoe distance race at the 2012 summer olympic games. She canoes for a club called Eastern Bay Canoe Racing Club that is in Whakatane, She has also made New Zealand look very good for winning the race. We are proud of her. She has a very good coach that encourages her to try her best no matter what, and at the moment she is recommended the best at the flat water canoe race.
Carringtons traits are learning the history of the flat water canoeing , she has studied so hard to be the best. Her other thing she likes to enjoy is going out with her friends and having fun. In her spare time she gets her canoe ready and drives to a beach to do some practising or having fun canoeing, she to visit her parents. Her favourite traits are known as sleeping and eating. Has she been to rio she has broken the Olympic record of the flat water race.
She is known as the best flat water canoe in the world, people recognise her has a champion because she has won the gold medal at the summer rio olympic games and she is mostly an inspiration to some people. She also has a great personality and some people are looking forward to some of her achievements she can make and her future that is coming.

Fishing for eels
Fishing for eels
On July 14 me and my family went to a stream. We got our stuff ready to put in the car and spare clothes, we hopped in the car and drove down the 3 way. Then we stopped at a nearby shop, we bought chips, drinks, pies.
It was a long drive, we had to wait for 2 hours to get there, so we stopped at a gas station, i had to go pay for the fuel. We had to clean the car first before we hit the road. We had to wait for long, then we played games because we were bored. After that we fell asleep, and we were nearly there. That was a long way we had to go.
When we woke up, we had finally arrived we got changed into our togs, and we we had a swim. The day was hot and sunny. Then we grabbed some gloves. We went on the other stream and we caught some big eels. When we caught some we were having a bombing comp. I had lots of fun.
After that we were tired, so we wanted to go home and rest. Then we packed our stuff and put it in the car. We were exhausted. Our backs were sore and our legs were lazy, we didn't want to walk but we had to or we wouldn't go home.
Finally we caught some more eels, and we cleaned everything. Then we packed our stuff and put everything in the car, after we put everything in it we hopped in the car and went home to rest.
I had a wonderful time catching eels and having a swim, it was fantastic.
